MBR (Master Boot Record): MBR ek legacy partitioning scheme hai jo pehle IBM PC-compatible computers ke liye design kiya gaya tha. MBR 512 bytes ka hota hai aur isme partition table information, bootloader, aur disk signature hoti hai. MBR ka sabse bada limitation yeh hai ki isme sirf 2TB tak ke hard drives ko support kiya ja sakta hai, aur maximum 4 primary partitions allow karta hai. Agar aapko zyada partitions ya larger drives ki zarurat hai, to MBR ki limitations aane shuru ho jaati hain.

GPT (GUID Partition Table): GPT ek modern partitioning scheme hai jo UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) based systems ke liye design kiya gaya hai. GPT 64-bit addresses ka use karta hai, jiski wajah se isme MBR ki limitations nahi hoti. GPT mein aapko 128 partitions mil sakti hain aur isme 9.4 Zettabytes tak ke storage ko handle karne ki capability hoti hai. GPT mein redundancy aur fault tolerance bhi incorporate ki gayi hoti hai, jisse data loss kam hota hai.

Conclusion: Agar aap ek modern UEFI-based system use kar rahe hain aur aapko zyada partitions ya large storage ki zarurat hai, to GPT ka istemal karna behtar hota hai. Legacy systems ya compatibility ki wajah se, kuch cases mein MBR ka bhi istemal hota hai, lekin aaj kal ke systems mein GPT ko prefer kiya jata hai.
