Rom Kya Hoti Hai Kitne Type Ki Hoti Hai ?

“Rom” ka mtlab hota hai “Read-Only Memory.” Yeh ek prakar ki computer memory hoti hai jise read kar sakte hain, lekin write nahi kar sakte. Isme data permanently store hota hai, jise power off hone ke baad bhi retain hota hai.

ROM ko kai tariko mein classify kiya ja sakta hai. Yahan kuch pramukh types hain:

  1. PROM (Programmable Read-Only Memory): Isme data ek bar likha ja sakta hai, lekin uske baad use modify nahi kiya ja sakta.
  2. EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory): Isme data likhne ke baad use erase bhi kiya ja sakta hai, lekin erase karne ke liye special equipment ki zarurat hoti hai.
  3. EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory): Isme data electrically erase kiya ja sakta hai. Yeh EPROM se alag hai, kyunki isme erase karne ke liye ultraviolet light ki zarurat nahi hoti.
  4. Flash Memory: Yeh ek prakar ka EEPROM hai, jise high-speed, electrically erase aur reprogram kiya ja sakta hai. Flash memory aam taur par removable storage devices jaise ki USB drives, memory cards, aur solid-state drives (SSD) mein istemal hoti hai.
  5. Mask ROM: Isme data manufacturing ke dauran permanently likha jata hai. Isme data ko baad mein modify nahi kiya ja sakta.

Har prakar ka ROM apne-apne istemal ke liye design kiya jata hai, aur inmein se kuch dynamic hoti hain (jise refresh ki zarurat hoti hai) jabki kuch static hoti hain (jise refresh ki zarurat nahi hoti).
